The official media in the Chamber, Dr. Fouad Hani, said in a press statement that this conference will focus on the economic reality in Kurdistan and the size of the projects that have been implemented by the public and private sectors before and after the issuance of the Investment Law in the Iraqi Kurdistan region in addition to presenting the future plans of the ministries of the regional government.
Fuad added that a working paper will be presented, during the conference, by the Investment Body in Kurdistan to clarify the implementation of the investment law articles in the region; its submission of legal guarantees for investors and titling lands used for investment project with multiple areas of investment in various sectors in addition to tax and customs exemptions.
He pointed out that the ministries of Kurdistan government will present working papers containing plans and future projects which seek to attract investors to implement them in various sectors such as building and construction projects, public services, the work of the municipal, water, sewage, roads and bridges, extension of electricity networks, developing transport and communications, in addition to strategic planning for /'Kurdistan region.
The Iraqi-American Chamber of Commerce and Industry had held several conferences, such as the first conference on the sidelines of the first international exhibition of Kurdistan, which was held in September of last year in Erbil as well as the second one on encouraging investment in Erbil too.(Source)AlSabah
